*How can I get to the Faculty of Arts?

Once you are in Bratislava, it is easy to find our faculty. See the map below or simply put “Gondova 2, Bratislava, Slovakia” into google maps (in case the link above does not work).

 

The map shows the position of the Faculty of Arts, Gondova 2, Bratislava (red A mark), Malá Scéna bus station as well as Most SNP bus station (black squares).

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

1. From the Mlynské Nivy bus station (the main bus station):

Take Bus No. 70 in the direction of the city centre. Get off at Malá scéna. It is only two stops. The journey is three or four minutes long, so you will need a 15-minute ticket at the price of 70 cents (note that you can transfer to another bus with this ticket - but you have to stick to the time limit of 15 minutes from the time of validation). The distance from Malá Scéna to our faculty is then walkable by foot.

2. From the main railway station:

Take Bus No. X13, get off at Námestie SNP and walk to the faculty along Štúrova Street. You will need a 15-minute ticket at the price of 70 cents. It must be validated when you first board the bus (note that you can transfer to another bus with this ticket - but you have to stick to the time limit of 15 minutes from the time of validation).

 

3. From the airport:

a) Take Bus No. 61, get off at Trnavské mýto and change for Tram No. 4 in the direction of the city centre. It will take you to the stop Most SNP, which is a walking distance from the faculty.

b) Take Bus No. 96, get off at Prístavný most and change for Bus No. 70 in the direction of the city centre. You will have to cross the street using the underpass. The bus takes you to the Malá scéna bus stop.

No matter which bus you take, you will need a 60-minute ticket at the price of €1,20. It must be validated when you first board the bus. The ticket remains valid until the end of your journey (up to 60 minutes), i.e. you must not validate it again when you transfer to another bus or tram line. Tickets for public transport can be bought at newsstands and in ticket machines.

TAXI

The fare should be €6 - €12 depending on a) the taxi company b) if you call a taxi by phone or if you take a taxi off the rank. It’s better to agree on a price before you get into a taxi.

*How can I get to Bratislava from Vienna?

Vienna’s international airport is located in Schwechat, 18 km southeast of Vienna’s city centre. There is a bus terminal outside the arrivals hall. Three bus companies operate direct bus lines to and from Bratislava: Slovak Lines, RegioJet and Blaguss.

a) Tickets for Slovak Lines can be bought in the arrivals hall, online or – exceptionally – from the bus driver.
