Mag. phil. Georg Schendl
Náš zahraničný hosť, zástupca CIAS (Centrum pre medziamerické štúdiá, Univerzita v Grazi). Georg je vysokoškolský asistent v Centre pre medziamerické štúdiá na Univerzite v Grazi v Rakúsku. Vo svojom výskume sa zaoberá dejinami Amerík s dôrazom na Latinskú Ameriku a Karibskú oblasť a vo svojej záverečnej práci sa zameral na Pinocheta a ľudské práva. Zaujíma sa o ľudské práva, rozvoj medzinárodného trestného práva a tiež environmentálnymi štúdiami. Získal dva bakalárske tituly a magisterský titul v oblasti politológie a sociálnej ekológie na Univerzite vo Viedni. V súčasnosti pracuje na doktorandskej práci o Medzinárodnom trestnom súde.
Our foreign guest, CIAS(Center for Inter-American Studies, Univerzity of Graz) representative. Goerg is University Assistant at the Center for Inter American-Studies at the University of Graz, Austria. His research interest lies in the history of the Americas with emphasis on Latin America and the Caribbean and devoted his thesis on the Pinochet case and human rights. Among his academic interests belong human rights, the development of international criminal law as well as environmental history and studies. He holds two bachelors and holds a master’s degree in political science and currently is working on one in social ecology from the University of Vienna. He is currently working on his PhD-thesis on the International Criminal Court.
Jana Hulová
Je študentkou 3.ročníka Filozofickej fakulty Univerzity Komenského, odbor prekladateľstvo/tlmočníctvo anglického a portugalského jazyka a organizátorkou Konferencie o medzi-amerických vzťahoch. Počas štúdia absolvovala semestrálny študijný pobyt v Lisabone a letnú školu On the Americas organizovanú Univerzitou v Grazi. Od roku 2010 je členkou Central European Association for Canadian Studies. Je spoluautorkou publikácie Stratené Príbehy a spoluzakladateľkou Židovského Múzea v Topoľčanoch. Od roku 2010 je členkou redakčnej rady a aktívnou prispievateľkou študentského časopisu Perspectives. V roku 2011 vyhrala 1. Cenu za umelecký preklad lusofónnej literatúry za preklad úryvku z poviedky Singularidades de Uma Rapariga Loura (z knihy Eçu de Queirós Contos). Tlmočila medzinárodnú súťaž Cena Oskara Čepana a brazílsku show na Slovensku Grade Show Brasil. V súčasnosti sa venuje akademickej práci o kultúrnom preklade zameranom na bývalé kolónie Portugalska.
Jana is a 3rd-year student at the Faculty of Arts at the Comenius University in the field of translation and interpretation (English and Portuguese). She is also the chief organizer of the Inter-American Conference. She spent one semester studying in Lisbon and took part in the summer school On the Americas organized by the University of Graz. Jana has been a member of the Central European Association for Canadian Studies since 2010. She is also a co-author of the publication Stratene Pribehy (Lost Stories) and a co-founder of the Jewish Museum in Topolcany. Jana is a member of the editorial board and actively contributes to the content of the Perspectives student magazine. In 2011 she won the first prize in literary translation of lusophone literature, having translated an excerpt from a short story Singularidades de Uma Rapariga Loura by Eca de Queiros. Jana worked as an interpreter in the international competition Cena Oskara Cepana (Oscar Cepan Award) and the Grande Show Brasil. Currently she is devoting her time to the work on an academic paper on cultural translation focusing on the former Portuguese colonies.
Bc. Zuzana Roncová
Je študentkou 1. ročníka magisterského štúdia Filozofickej fakulty Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave v odbore prekladateľstvo a tlmočníctvo anglického a portugalského jazyka. V akademickom roku 2010/2011 absolvovala ročný študijný pobyt na Lisabonskej univerzite v Portugalsku. V roku 2009 ukončila bakalárske štúdium na Fakulte manažmentu Univerzity Komenského v odbore manažment. Je spoluorganizátorom Konferencie o medzi-amerických vzťahoch.
Zuzana is a 1st-year postgraduate student at the Faculty of Arts at the Comenius University in the field of translation and interpretation (English and Portuguese). In the academic year of 2010/2011 she spent two semesters at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. In 2009 she graduated from the Faculty of Management at the Comenius University. Zuzana is a co-organizer of the Inter-American Conference.
Hana Kaňuková
Je študentkou 2. ročníka Filozofickej fakulty Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave. Študuje odbor prekladateľstvo tlmočníctvo, v kombinácii anglický a španielsky jazyk. Popri štúdiu sa zaujíma o históriu, literatúru a rada svoje jazykové znalosti uplatňuje v praxi počas pravidelných pracovno-študijných pobytoch v zahraničí v období letných prázdnin. Medzi jej ambície patrí naučiť sa ďalší cudzí jazyk a vyskúšať si štúdium na niektorej zo zahraničných univerzít. Zaujíma sa aj o preklad a chcela by sa mu venovať aj po ukončení štúdia na vysokej škole
Hana is a 2nd-year student at the Faculty of Arts at the Comenius University in Bratislava. She studies translation and interpretation (English and Spanish). Her interests include history, literature and she frequently travels abroad during summer holidays for professional and academic purposes. Hana would like to learn another foreign language and study at a foreign university. She is also interested in translation and would like to translate professionally.
Lenka Hudečeková
Je študentkou 2. ročníka na Filozofickej fakulte Univerzity Komenského. Študuje odbor tlmočníctvo - prekladateľstvo v kombinácii anglický a taliansky jazyk. Popri štúdiu sa venuje športu, zaujíma sa tiež o históriu, literatúru a rada spoznáva nové kultúry. Medzi jej ambície patrí naučiť sa ďalší cudzí jazyk a zdokonaliť sa v používaní jazykov, ktoré už ovláda.
Lenka is a 2nd-year student at the Faculty of Arts at the Comenius University in Bratislava. She studies translation and interpretation (English and Italian). Her free time activities include sports, history, literature and she also enjoys learning about different cultures. One of her ambitions is to learn another foreign language and improve those that she already speaks.
Martina Bednáriková
Je študentkou 3. ročníka Filozofickej fakulty Univerzity Komenského v odbore učiteľstvo slovenského a anglického jazyka a literatúry. Svoj študijný odbor vníma ako celoživotné poslanie a preto mu venuje aj svoj voľný čas. Učí v jazykovej škole Royalschool v Bratislave a pracuje pre British Council. Miluje knihy a deti. Prax si overuje na troch malých súrodencoch. Aktívne vykonáva dobrovoľnícku činnosť s pezinskými deťmi. Je spoluorganizátorkou Konferencie o medziamerických vzťahoch.
Martina is a 3rd-year student at the Faculty of Arts at the Comenius University in Bratislava in the field of teaching (Slovak and English). She considers teaching a life-long mission and therefore she devotes to it her free time as well. Martina is a teacher at Royalschool language school in Bratislava and works for British Council. She loves books and children. Martina uses her knowledge in practice with her three younger siblings. She also volunteers with children living in the town of Pezinok. She is a co-organizer of the Inter-American Conference.
Mário Kyseľ
Je študentom 3. ročníka Filozofickej fakulty Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave. Študuje odbor prekladateľstvo a tlmočníctvo anglického jazyka a kultúry a poľského jazyka a kultúry. Je spoluorganizátorom Konferencie o medzi-amerických vzťahoch. Počas štúdia absolvoval semestrálny študijný pobyt v Katoviciach v Poľsku, kde získal certifikát z poľského jazyka na úrovni C1. Na podnet odborného asistenta katedry slovanských filológii Mgr. Štefana Chrappu, PhD., sa zaoberá prekladom poľskej poézie, zatiaľ však bez publikácie. V súčasnosti sa venuje akademickej porovnávacej práci poľskej a slovenskej frazeológie v Starom zákone.
Mario is a 3rd-year student at the Faculty of Arts at the Comenius University in Bratislava. He studies translation and interpretation (English and Polish). He is a co-organizer of the Inter-American Conference. During his studies he spent a semester in Katowice, Poland, where he gained a certificate in the Polish language at C1 level. On the initiative of Mgr. Stefan Chrappa, PhD. from the Department of Slavic Philologies, he started to translate Polish poetry, so far without publication. Mario is currently writing an academic comparative study on Polish and Slovak phraseology in the Old Testament.
