About the Conference

Student Conference on the Americas organized by the students at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University, Bratislava (Slovakia) is an academic event enabling students at all levels of university studies (BA, MA, PhD or graduates) to present and discuss their academic work in a friendly, yet professional environment. Providing an important channel for exchange of information between student researchers, the focus of the conference is to connect young, i.e. prospective researchers who have a common interest in the Americas.

 

The first student conference was organized in February 2012 and there were 6 student speakers presenting; from that time 2 other conferences were organized - one in February 2013, which already included student speakers from 14 different countries; and the other one in January 2014 as a joint project with the 4th Triennial Conference in British and American Studies "Humans, Humanity and the Humanities" organized by the Department of British and American Studies at the Faculty of Arts at Comenius University.

 

The next student conference is going to take place in February 2016.
